Flash Animation

Flash is a programming environment to create animations and/or games. Design Technologies I students need to complete all tutorials in part 1. Upload each assignment after you are finished before going onto the next.

Tutorial Files for Flash Part 1, animation:

• Basic Drawing (duck.fla-right click to download)
• Using Layers
• Motion Tween
• Shape Tween
• Including Sound
• Creating Masks
• Using Motion Guides

Assignment: Complete original 15 second animation using the skills learned above.

Design Technologies II Students should complete tutorials in part 2 and upload.

Tutorial Files for Flash Part 2, intro to action scripting:

• Buttons
• Introduction to ActionScripting
• Incrementing a Variable
• Hit Tests

Assignment: Complete original interactive game using the skills learned in Part 2.

• Sign up for Design Technologies II next year and spend an entire semester learning new skills in Flash including more on game design.
